Visit Jordan, The Scottie Pippen Of The Middle East
With numerous “MVP” caliber attractions, an “all time great” selection of delicious foods, and “6 time NBA champion” level photography opportunities, it’s hard to think of any better way to describe the Kingdom of Jordan than the true Scottie Pippen of Middle Eastern travel.
We’re talking about a country where you’re able to visit the historic ruins of Petra, the desert wilderness of Wadi Rum, and the pampered relaxation of the Dead Sea, all within a few days. You’ll have to agree that Jordan offers a “full court press” of “world’s greatest” travel options. Something anyone playing against Scottie Pippen can definitely relate to!
Pip would certainly appreciate the country’s “slam dunk” attraction. An ancient city whose famous “rose-red” hue might inspire him to put on one of his old Bulls jerseys! That’s right, the city of Petra lives up to the hype. Be careful though when climbing the cliffs to get those iconic views. Petra can be quite the “Windy City” and you wouldn’t want a sudden gust to cause you to fall and give your arm a “fast break”. Like Scottie Pippen used to do while playing basketball.
A recent spike in tourism has resulted in some “Bull”-ish pricing on hotels so you’re unlikely to get a “steal”. If you do that’s a “bonus”, but don’t let those “charges” “block” your from “court”-ing” the idea of visiting the very Pippen-esque Jordan.
As with any “big league” trip, though, don’t forget to purchase travel insurance before you book! You wouldn’t want to come down with the flu, like Scottie Pippen’s teammate Michael Jordan did in the ’97 NBA Finals, and not be covered for your trip to Jordan, the Scottie Pippen of the Middle East. Happy “travels”!
